Affordable Housing Debt Roundtable
This session presented a series of case studies. In one, Tracy W. Peters, of Red Capital Group, and Konrad Schlater, of Preservation of Affordable Housing, present on a transaction that included a FHA 221(d)(4) mortgage to finance the acquisition of a property in Illinois. Next, Jim Gillespie of Bellwether Enterprise presents a case study of a transaction to acquire, renovate, and preserve affordable housing in Connecticut using first mortgage debt combined with private equity. To wrap things up, Alysse Hollis, of Jones Walker, discusses a unique transaction that used 501(c)(3) bonds for acquisition and rehabilitation of 204 units of affordable housing in Texas.
